Meet the Owner!
Dr. Austin Shelnutt is an experienced sports medicine doctor of physical therapy and the owner of Athletic Edge Performance, LLC. He specializes in both chronic and acute injuries as well as biomechanics and form correction for a variety of sports and lifting techniques. He is passionate about helping individuals progress, maintain, or return to an active lifestyle and has embarked on his own business to better serve these everyday athletes!
Dr. Austin completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) with a bachelors' of science in Athletic Training and from there completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy right here at Augusta University. He is certified in dry needling, spinal manipulation, and vestibular rehabilitation. When he isn't working with patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two little girls, watching football, and getting a workout in!
